On September 9th, join us on social media to tell President Obama to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline
The Dakota Access Pipeline — a project that would carry toxic fracked oil from North Dakota through four states and the Missouri River — is directly threatening our water, the sacred land of Native communities, and is a disaster for the climate. It must be stopped.
When President Obama was on his campaign trail back in 2007, he said that we would be the generation that freed itself from the tyranny of oil. And when he was adopted into the Crow Nation and given the name Barack Black Eagle, a name that means “One Who Helps People Throughout the Land,” he made a commitment to protect the land and the people. We are now calling on President Obama to step in and be the President he sought out to be.
